Legal Knives to Own In Nevada

Carrying and using daggers, dirks, stilettos, and other slim knives are allowed in Nevada according to local regulations. The same applies to butterfly knives, which you can legally own.

Similarly, Bowie knives and other large knives, as well as hunting knives, are perfectly legal in Nevada. Even throwing knives and stars can be owned without breaking the law. Certain types of knives don’t have any laws or regulations covering them.

Since there are no regulations regarding them, they are legal. In the state of Nevada, all knives are illegal without a concealed carry permit. In New Jersey, the same is true. This can include butterfly knives, switchblades, and daggers.

Illegal Knives to Own In Nevada

Despite their popularity in other states, switchblades and other automatic knives are prohibited in Nevada. Moreover, knives incorporated into belt buckles cannot be owned in Nevada. As long as the knife is not classified as prohibited, it can be considered legal.

It is prohibited to carry a dagger, dirk, stiletto, or other stabbing knives around schools or childcare facilities. School activities also forbid such knives, not to mention school or childcare transportation and vehicles.

A knife with a blade longer than four inches is prohibited. Knives such as butcher knives, kitchen knives, razor blades, and leaded fishing knives are also prohibited

Exceptions

There are exceptions for law enforcement officers who are on duty.

202.265. Possession of a dangerous weapon on the property or in the vehicle of a school or childcare facility is punishable. Exceptions apply.
